easy access to parks and shopping areas in sandton

My stay here was highlighted by the fantastic proximity to both Mushroom Park, just a few steps away, and Sandton City Mall, only a short walk of about 1 km, making it so convenient for leisurely strolls and shopping trips. the staff were super welcoming and friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly enriched my experience.

Breakfast bliss and beautiful rooms

Waking up to an extensive breakfast selection was a dream! The vegetarian options were plentiful, and the coffee station was a delightful touch, setting a wonderful tone each morning.

However, I did experience delays at check-in, and the reception staff could use some additional support during busy times to enhance their efficiency.

What an absolutely maddening experience! The chaos started at check-in when the staff member at reception was not only unprofessional but also rude. After being given the wrong room key, I had to haul my luggage back to the front desk only for her to tell me it was the showroom key. Additionally, I found the dining area experience equally frustrating. I was told to wait for a table while witnessing others being seated immediately. To top it off, the Wi-Fi didn’t work in my room, and despite requesting assistance, no one came to help.

My stay at Southern Sun Sandton was delightful! The staff were genuinely attentive, providing exceptional customer care from check-in to checkout. The breakfast was a standout, offering a wide array of choices that catered to various tastes, ensuring a lovely start to each day.

The shuttle service was unreliable. but the rooms were cozy with modernized decor, breakfast had a great variety including fresh options. and the staff were genuinely friendly and efficient.

Had a great time with friends! The hotel was close to Montecasino, the best cinema complex, and Zoo Lake, perfect for a relaxing stroll. The breakfast offered a tasty variety and the rooms were neat and spacious. Plus, the friendly staff really made our stay enjoyable. Just be prepared for parking fees when checking out.

One of my friends encountered issues with a credit card charge at the excursion desk that remained unresolved for weeks, leaving us a bit frustrated with the lack of follow-up.

Cozy stay with a nice upgrade

Had a lovely time here! The staff really made me feel at home, and I got a surprise upgrade to a Superior King room. The bathroom was huge, and I loved the breakfast spread, especially the fresh pastries. Just a heads up—parking does come at a price!

southern sun was a solid stay. the professionalism of the reception staff was impressive, especially with dikeledi and constance helping with my needs. the hotel is close to great places, including a complimentary shuttle every 30 minutes to sandton mall. breakfast was good and had a nice selection.

Unfortunately, I encountered issues with the room's air conditioning and a faulty plug, which required attention. Additionally, the breakfast service faced delays due to limited staff availability, especially during busy hours.
